Welcome!
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our Centerville School website. I’m sure that you will find the information on this site useful, as well as defining who we are and what we do here at Centerville.
The Centerville area was previously known as the "Bald Hill District" of the Montserrat section of Beverly. The farmers of this area named the section Centerville in 1872. The present Centerville School is the fourth location of a school in Centerville located at 17 Hull Street on an 11.6 acre site.
We see the Centerville School as a place where excellence in education is defined as educating the whole child. Our mission is to provide the knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitudes that are fundamental to a productive and successful life. We believe that these goals are best achieved when the school provides an environment in which adults practice essential values that serve as a model to benefit the academic, emotional, and social needs of all children.
Centerville School believes that strong communication between home and school provides the caring and nurturing atmosphere that exists here. We have tremendous pride in the fact that parental collaboration with the professional staff promotes excellence in teaching that results in high academic achievement and enables children to realize personal excellence. We provide a challenging and supportive learning environment that promotes the natural curiosity of children as they explore all components of the curriculum.
We strongly encourage everyone to join us in working together to continue to make Centerville School a place where children love to attend and a school where parents believe their children are receiving an outstanding education from teachers who are dedicated and committed to their profession.
Thank you again for your interest in Centerville School. Please email me at [email protected] with any questions or comments regarding our school.
Sincerely,
Julie L. Smith
